I set out on a special assignment for CNN.com. The story: the island nation of Nauru-an exotic little country deep in the Pacific. Before I could tell the story of Nauru, I would first have to find it.

Johnny - I just read your CNN.com article “Canary in a phosphate mine”. That is a great piece of journalism - high info content wrapped in a very compelling story. Did you write it yourself? If so, I tip my hat to you. It is excellent work.
